Week 5 Reading Plan:
Monday: #VerseOfTheDay
Monday: Reflection Question
Reflection Question for the day: I Have
Seen For Myself.
Jacob, now called Israel, has finally seen for
himself his son, Joseph, after twenty years of separation. It’s another miracle
that they are reunited. Yet, seeing is believing. Although he was told Joseph
was alive and well, to see for himself makes his heart so settled, that he says
he can now die.
What miracles, or wonders of God have you seen that
leave you with no shadow of a doubt that He is a mighty God?
Tuesday: #VerseOfTheDay
Tuesday: Reflection Question
Reflection Question for the day: Their
Fate is Sealed.
The money has run out, the livestock have al been
traded and the famine is so great, that the people of Egypt and Canaan are
pleading for seed in exchange for their freedom and land. That’s desperation!
What are you doing now, in your life that might
seal your fate for the good?
What
are you doing now, in your life that might seal your fate for the bad?
Wednesday: #VerseOfTheDay
Wednesday: Reflection Question
Reflection Question for the day: It Just
Keeps Getting Better.
When the Lord rains down His blessing he sometimes
floods them over us.
What surprise blessings have been granted to you?
How have you thanked God for them?
Thursday: #VerseOfTheDay
Thursday: Reflection Question
Reflection Question for the day: Your
Life’s Legacy.
As the time of his passing grows ever nearer, Jacob
summands his sons (the twelve tribes of Israel) to his side, so he may tell
them what it to come of them. It’s not a
loving farewell for all, but rather a bit of history and prophecy for all of
his sons. He is granting to them the “blessings” they deserve based on the way
they have lived.
What legacy are you leaving behind? How do you
think you will be remembered, based on the way you are living?
Friday: #VerseOfTheDay
Friday: Reflection Question
Reflection Question for the day: The Big
Picture.
Now that Jacob is gone, Joseph’s brothers fear what
he might do to them. This speaks more about their character than his, for he
has already told them he will take care of them, he even repeats it, saying
“Therefore have no fear. I will provide for you and for your children.” Genesis
50:21
Joseph is a man of honor, who does the right thing,
even when no one else is looking. He can see the big picture. Can you?
What is the big picture for your life? What is God
calling you to do, even though no one else is looking?
We hope you enjoyed studying with us! We sure enjoyed all of you!
Our next study will be...the Book of Ezra.
