Weekly Reading Plan:

Monday - #VerseOfTheDay

Monday - Reflection Question

Reflection Question for the day: Family.

Genealogy is a major part of the Bible. Family trees are traced back to Abraham and Isaac, to represent the solidarity of the bloodlines of the people of God and to show where they settle.

Why do you think family is so important to God? How do you make God part of your family?

Tuesday - #VerseOfTheDay

Tuesday - Reflection Question

Reflection Question for the day: Jealousy.

Joseph is the miracle child of Jacob and Rachel. He is favored above his brother’s even Judah, Jacob’s firstborn son, from Leah. The more he is favored the more the hatred toward him grows among his half-brothers, so much so that they sell him into slavery.

What makes you jealous? How do you keep your jealousy from getting the best of you?

Wednesday - #VerseOfTheDay

Wednesday - Reflection Question

Reflection Question for the day: Thou shall not...

Although this verse is about Onan knowingly spilling his seed, to insure no offspring were produced with his brother’s wife, the focus will be on the way God felt because of his act – he was offended, greatly.

What are you doing that offends God? How can you stop offending God?
Ask God for forgiveness.

Thursday - #VerseOfTheDay

Thursday - Reflection Question

Reflection Question for the day: You Are Never Alone.

Even your most vulnerable, lonely moments you are not alone! God is with you. Recall a time when you felt alone, but God showed you he was with you.

How did you know he was there?

Friday - #VerseOfTheDay

Friday - Reflection Question

Reflection Question for the day: Not Forgotten.

Joseph interpreted the dreams of the cupbearer and the chief baker, yet once released from prison, he is forgotten. Again God’s timing is the key. The cupbearer has forgotten Joseph, but God has not.

Have you ever felt forgotten? Or that there would be no end to your affliction? How did you keep faith that God would deliver you?
