While we read God’s word, we soak in the scripture and it's glorious meaning using the W.O.R.D. method of study. Here's how it works:

W - Word of God 
(Write down your favorite verse(s) from todays scripture.) 

or use the verse we have selected for you! 

O - Observations 
(What did you observe while reading God’s word)

write down what sticks out to you, while you read the selected chapter. Some ladies outline the reading,
others summarize, there is no wrong way to do this.

R - Reflect 
(Apply what God said to you today to your daily life.)

What did this chapter reveal to you - how can you implement the concepts or commands in your life
today? You can also use this space to answer our Daily Reflection Questions too!

D - Devotion 
(What do you feel compelled to tell God in prayer.)

This is one of my favorite parts of studying the Bible - praying after reading God's word. Sometimes my
prayers are short and simple, and other times the words flow freely, and I fill the entire page!

Cue the Confetti!! *NEW* Bible Study Announcement! STARTS April 20, 2020!

If you hadn't noticed, we took a bit of a hiadus in 2019. Life threw us a couple curve balls but we are back and SO ready begin studying the bible together with all of you again! Although trouble may find us, we know that God is GOOD! And whenever two or more gather in HIS name, there HE is! Matthew 18:20

We are announcing our 1st *NEW* Bible Study in 2020 in the Book of Psalm! 📖

This six-week Bible Study will take us through Psalms 1 - 30. Starting Monday, April 20th, we will begin with Psalms 1-5 and will conclude on Friday, May 29th, with Psalm 30.

We study the W.O.R.D. Monday - Friday, using the weekends to rest and reflect, or chatch up if needed.

Advent - Week 4 {LOVE} - Sunday 12/23/2018

In the 4th (and final) week of Advent, we light the "Angel's Candle"🕯, which reminds us of the message of the Angels: Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men".

This week, our Littles are going to color the Angel (below) and write a prayer in the blank space, which will be cut/pasted into their Bible Journals, just as done in the previous weeks.

Advent - Week 3 {JOY} - Sunday 12/16/2008

Today we celebrate the 3rd week of Advent, where we light the candle of JOY. This candle reminds us of the joy the world will experience at the coming birth of Jesus...here are the resources I will use.

I know everyone celebrates Christmas in different way but we have a family tree, which holds our breakable ornaments, family heirlooms, etc...where the presents from us and Santa will go. Then we also have a Christmas Tree just for the kids, downstairs, which they can decorate with their own ornaments and treasures. This year I am going to have our Littles color their own nativity ornament for their tree, as well as color the nativity scene for their Bible Journals.

Advent - Week 2 {FAITH} - Sunday 12/9/2018

In preparation for the 2nd week of Advent, where we are anticipating the birth of Christ, I thought this prayer was a great way to start the festivities with our littles...

This week we light the candle of FAITH, which reminds us of the faithful journey Mary and Joseph made to Bethlehem. Here are the resources I am using iwth our littles this weekend.

First, we will color the Journey to Bethlehem sheet below, and paste it into our Bible Journals as well as dicuss faith and what it means.

Some background information ...

Question:What is the Immaculate Conception? If one does the math, Jesus surely wasn't conceived just 3 weeks before his birth...

Answer: The Immaculate Conception refers to the condition that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from Original Sin from the very moment of her conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. We celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8; nine months before is December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Advent - Week 1 {HOPE} - Sunday 12/2/2018

I especially love this time of year. 🎄🌟 It is the season of giving, the season of gratitude, and the birth of our Lord, Jesus. There are so many wonderful blessings to reflect on this year and I've found doing to with our children makes the season so much more meaningful - for all of us. This is our second year doing Advent activities and I'm grateful to tell you that I am overjoyed and our children are too!! In a 1-subject notebook both myself and three of our children are journaling through Advent, writing a verse each day, as well as what we are thankful for. It's something we do before bed each night until the 24th.

To celebrate the 1st week of Advent we light the candle of HOPE, which is also known as the "Prophet's Candle", reminding us that Jesus is coming...

here are the resources I found, that helped me explain and foster the meaning of Advent with our Littles.

With this I have the kids write the words HOPE - FAITH - JOY - PEACE and write the bible verses above, and draw an illustration for what that scripture means to them. I'll post pictures of our kids' journals soon!

Then, the kids colored and cut/pasted their own Advent Calendar Tree (below) in their Bible Journals as well, each night we color the corresponding "day" and say a prayer together.

The Book of Ruth - Week 4

Can you beleive it? This is our final week of the Book of Ruth! Congratulations! YOU DID IT!

Thursday (Reflection Day)
"Salom was the father of Boaz, Boaz was the father of OBed, Obed was the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David." Ruth 4: 21-22


Friday (Reflection Day)
"You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy..." Psalm 30:11

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from thier sins." Matthew 1:21

Monday 
Ruth is in love with Boaz, yet he is struggling over redeeming her. His first option to redeem her is to so via "another man". Have you ever felt conflicted over where your redemption comes from? Who has a chance to redeem you before the Lord does?

Tuesday
The picture gets painted (again) the our Lord Jesus is whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. How often do you seek redemption?


Wednesay *
Finally Ruth is free to marry Boaz! But that's not all - the Lord enabled her to concieve too. So many blessings after such along period of being barren. What about you? Are you experienceing a period of fruitfulness or are you going through a barren season? What do you need to do to show God you trust in his timing?



Thursday
As we conclude our study of Ruth we have come full circle. Naomi has gone from bitter to blessed. Ruth has gone from barren to fruitful. How did they do it - through thier relationship with Jesus Christ.
Evaluate your relationship with Christ. 
When was the last tiem you:
Prayed?
Attended Church?
Tithed?
Volunteered your time?
Forgave?


Friday *
One last note - What we LOVE about the Book of Ruth is that it shows us that even if our relationsihp with Christ is off or even non-existent, this book shows us that all we have to do is reach out to God and our lives will turn around.
